Sziget Festival Budapest

The Atmosphere

What else is left to talk about? Basically everything one would need is discussed, but then again, there is a myriad of festivals going on all around the world so why choose this jewel on the crown of Hungarian pop culture?

One thing to keep in mind is that the event, despite an awful lot of commercialising  ince it’s inception, is still keeping the spirit in which it all kicked off. A friendly, cosmopolitan and family-like atmosphere and I don’t mean that you’ll find children running around the kitchen table, but the vibe feels like everybody knows each other there. Socialising and making friends comes easily. This provides a vibe like no other and certainly, the wild partying and raving, when it’s really going full steam, can’t be matched anywhere. Guys are all your bros and the girls are mostly pretty and rather easy going, if you know what I mean. So, what else to say? Better than any club or bar you could find in Ibiza and more chilling afternoons than on Crete and certainly a much higher level eye-candy than in,well, than anywhere else really.

And let’s not forget the quality music and entertainment you would bump into every five steps, there’s always something going on. This is all just a week of pure craziness and fun. You might even find me jumping tables and fall gracefully in the ruin bar area or winning the air guitar championship with my new friends from some Dutch village.

So yes, as soon as 2016 hits you on the forehead, start looking up and booking your mid-August trip to Budapest. Bring friends and have an amazing time. Seriously, do it.

Until next time.
